FULL interview with ‘Doomsday Mom’ Lori Vallow Daybell

I’ve been wanting to talk about this for a while now. I feel extremely bad for someone who claims their innocence, even if they are good liars. Well, I suppose that statement isn’t true for everyone — I don’t feel bad for Bryan Kohberger… so why do I feel bad for Lori Vallow? Is it because she has such a magnetic personality? Now, I know that most people won’t agree with that statement. To most she’s just a mom who killed her kids (because she’s now been found guilty of that in a court of law). But, what if she really didn’t have anything to do with it? What if she really is innocent?

How can we ever truly know what the situation is for that person? She’s in prison for the rest of her life, however, currently she’s awaiting her trial to happen in the death of her ex husband Charles. I believe that’s really a no brainer. Her brother Alex did it. He admitted to it. Alex is now dead. Unfortunately, that’s just life. Yes someone should pay for what happened to Charles, but the perpetrator is now dead, so isn’t he paying for it in some small way, because he isn’t living anymore? Yes it’s a copout to think that the death penalty is really a good punishment for killing another human being, but it is something that is used in this world, and it is a punishment that is recognized by the courts.

This interview that I’m referring to (title of the blog), has to be the most normal I’ve seen Lori act in an interview thus far, despite her being tired and never getting enough sleep, despite her looking worse for wear, it seems that being in jail and in the situation she finds herself in, that looking older, tireder and more exhausted every day is to be expected. She has changed so much in the short amount of time she’s’ been in jail.

It’s refreshing to see that Lori tries to find the good in every situation. Currently, while she awaits her trial in Arizone, she’s finding the good in the situation by fighting for the women and helping those in her jail. I’m not sure what all that entails, but at least she’s trying to do better and be better.

She claims that all of the things that have happened in her life are just family tragedies. Now, there have been a LOT of those. Unfortunately, it’s true. But, I wonder if there aren’t others out there like her who have also experienced some of those same family tragedies, but who aren’t on trial for their life.

The jail systems sound ridiculous to me. When you have teeth problems, they just rip your teeth out? That’s unacceptable. 1 hour a day to enjoy some sunshine and whatever out of your cell, but you also have to use that time to shower in? Another ridiculous thing.

I’m not even sure why any of this matters with regards to Charles murder. I mean, the man who did it is now dead, and as for it having anything to do with Lori? So what? She’s already doing LIFE in prison for JJ and Tylee. Why are we wasting the courts time with this? It’s absolutely ridiculous to me.

This interviewer asked Lori if she actually loved her children. Are you kidding me? Of course she did. Just because she’s been found guilty of murder, doesn’t actually mean that she IS guilty.

The court system, and jail system really need an overhaul. It just doesn’t work the way it should.
